:- 3.0 out of 5 stars from Amazon Customer -- Two young girls led the world and the author of Sherlock Holmes into the work of dreams. : The story of the English girls seeing fairies carried so much weight with the help of Sir Arthur Conan Doyle support. After the death of his son in World War I(One) he went more in to the occult beliefs. He also could not believe the teenage girl could doctor photographs. But it seems now that she did make double exposures. His proof was not so much physicL evidence as it was statements of people claiming they saw fairies. - 2.0 out of 5 stars from Ginny Cohen -- Forgotten Books is a publisher I'll remember to avoid : The book is full of typographical errors and does a poor job of formatting to the point where text is confusing and it appears that some text is lost. This particular book centers upon five images which the publishers reproduced in tiny thumbnails and inserted at odd intervals throughout the book which disrupt the text. The publisher’s disclaimer at the front of the book is telling. “Forgotten Books takes the uppermost care to preserve the wording and images from the original book. However, this book has been scanned and reformatted from the original, and as such we cannot guarantee that it is free from errors or contains the full content of the original.” The publishers also say you can read the book for free online. I’d recommend reading their books for free since I regret purchasing this copy. ( Reviewed in the United States on November 23, 2013 )

- 5.0 out of 5 stars from Blackwidow442 -- Vary good love reading arguments : Vary nice to read. Vary cute how the girls fool so many with cut outs. Reading this book made it vary clear why so many believed the picture to be true. I'd always wondered why people were fooled. I put myself in the mind set of the 1920, thinking I have never seen Photoshop , internet or fantacy movie's. The argument were vary convincing. ( Reviewed in the United States on June 14, 2013 )

- 2.0 out of 5 stars from Felicia Gallmeier -- The books in great condition, but I was expecting something totally different : The books in great condition, but I was expecting something totally different. I was expecting a mystic in a trance like state to have studied a world of fairies, but it was not. Its about a big controversy over some girls who supposedly took a picture of fairies. - 3.0 out of 5 stars from AmazonCustomer 1 -- Print Quality Cheap Looking/Feeling : Doesn't look as good as it should, the print looks bad, like printed onto normal paper with a home printer and then stuck together. The Book is ok but not laid out very well. ( Reviewed in the United Kingdom on March 18, 2021 )
